ZF
Trimax are offering a complete range of drives for fast planing
hulls from 8 to 40 metres, with power plants made up of 2, 3
or even 4 engines as well as a wide range of rudders, shafts,
shaft brackets and gearboxes.
ZF Trimax system are particularly suited to planing hulls capable
of speeds over 30 kts, whereas the advantages they offer become
dramatically apparent as speed increases.
Besides the ZF Trimax drives, the new integrated design systems
on offer also include the integrated Seaplanes range of trim
tabs.
The
ZF Trimax Ring-Drive is a revolutionary surface drive
system in which the engine is located directly over the propeller
shaft, which is partially embedded in a molded tunnel. The engine
is supported at the front by a standard ZF V-Drive transmission
(either ZF 90, alternatively 110 IVRTS, for the 2 Speed version
or ZF 63, alternatively 80 IVR, for the single speed version),
which has been specially adapted for the Ring-Drive installation.
The
ZF Trimax G-Drive is the latest member of the ZF Trimax
family. In this case the gearbox has been modified so that it
comes out of the transom plate through two big rubber O-Rings,
which make it possible to adjust the angle of the propeller
shaft. This is done by acting on the adjustable front engine
mounts and realigning the propeller shaft by means of the adjustable
rear propeller support.
The
ZF Trimax 2100 ITR is basically the same as the 2100
integrated drive apart from the fact that its height above the
water may be adjusted thanks to a special adjustable thrust
bearing assembly and a hydraulic piston that acts on the rear
propeller shaft support: adjustment ranges from ± 30 mm to ±
68 mm.
The
new integrated design system of the ZF Trimax 2100 I
and the ZF Trimax 2200 I drives and tabs offers
many advantages, the principal one being that the central fixed
flap allows for a full range of speeds.
The
five drives at the top of the range are the ZF Trimax
2500 I, 3200 I, 3500 I, 4000 I and the 5000 I. They
are conceptually identical, differing only in size and maximum
installable power.
The
ZF Seaplanes are a revolutionary range of modular
electro-hydraulic trim tabs engineered with the most advanced
technology for high performance boats
ZF
Trimax have developed an exclusive range of hydraulic drop-down
ZF Trimax Transmissions especially designed
for ZF Trimax Drives guaranteeing perfect alignment, even when
propeller shaft inclination is minimal.
